Overview

Réalta Star ("we", "us") provides astrology chart calculations and daily horoscopes for entertainment purposes. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, and how you can exercise your rights.

Information we collect

• Account data (if you sign in): email address and, when using Google sign-in, your name and profile identifier from Google.
• Birth data you enter: name, birth date, birth time, and birth place (city and approximate coordinates).
• Chart results: your calculated Sun, Moon, Rising, and Decan signs, associated with your account when you are signed in.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) generated automatically when you use the site.

If you use the site as a guest (not signed in), your birth data and results are kept only in your browser's session storage and are not saved to our database.

How we use your data

• To calculate and display your birth chart and daily horoscopes.
• To let you sign in and access your saved readings.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising. Horoscope generation uses an AI service (Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway); only the date, sign, and current planetary transits for that date are sent — never your personal or birth data.

Purchases, donations, and payment data

If you buy the optional printable poster download, payment is processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Your card details are entered on Stripe's checkout and are never seen or stored by us. Stripe acts as an independent controller of that payment data under its own privacy policy.

If you make a voluntary donation, the entire transaction takes place on Buy Me a Coffee'splatform. We simply link to Buy Me a Coffee — we do not see, receive, or store your card details or any donation payment data, and Buy Me a Coffee is the independent controller of that payment data under its own privacy policy.

For poster purchases we store only what is needed to prove and honour your purchase:

• your account ID and the ID of the chart the purchase unlocks;
• Stripe's checkout session and payment identifiers;
• the amount, currency, purchase status (paid, refunded, disputed), and timestamps.

For poster purchases we also send Stripe your email address and account identifier so your purchase can be matched to your account (for example if you need to restore access on another device), and we read purchase, refund, and dispute status back from Stripe to keep your download access accurate. This processing is necessary to perform our contract with you, and purchase records are retained as long as required for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes even if you later delete your account.

Printable posters

Poster images are generated in your browser from the chart data you already entered. The name, birth date, birth time, and birth place shown on the poster come from your own input; the finished image file is created on your device and downloaded directly to it. We do not upload, host, store, or print your poster files, and we do not share them with any print service. Once downloaded, the file is yours to keep, print, or delete — anything you choose to share it with (a print shop, cloud storage, or another person) is outside our control and covered by that party's own policies.

Because a poster displays your name and birth details, please treat the file as personal information when sharing or printing it.

When you buy chart unlocks, we store a record of the purchase (how many unlocks it included, the amount, the payment reference from Stripe) and a record of which of your saved charts each unlock was applied to. This is what keeps your posters downloadable and lets us handle receipts and refunds. Deleting your account removes these records from your profile; anonymized payment records are retained for accounting.

Where your data is stored

Your account and saved readings are stored on Lovable Cloud / Supabase infrastructure. Data may be processed and stored in secure data centers operated by these providers. Geocoding requests (when you search for a birth place) are sent to Photon (OpenStreetMap-based) to look up the coordinates and timezone of the location you type. Poster-purchase payment data is processed by Stripe, which may transfer and store it in the United States and other countries where it operates. Voluntary donations are processed by Buy Me a Coffee on its own platform; no donation payment data is shared with us.

Service providers we share data with

• Lovable Cloud / Supabase — hosting, database, and authentication.
• Stripe — payment processing for poster purchases.
• Buy Me a Coffee — voluntary donations (processed entirely on its platform; we receive no payment data).
• Photon (OpenStreetMap) — birth place lookup.
• Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway — daily horoscope text (no personal or birth data is sent).
• Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.

These providers act on our behalf under their own agreements and may not use your data for their own unrelated purposes. We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account and saved readings for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual readings at any time from the "My Readings" page, or delete your entire account (see below), which permanently removes your profile, all saved readings, and your sign-in record from our database. Purchase records linked to a payment are kept for as long as required by accounting and tax law, in a form no longer linked to your profile once your account is deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Export a copy of your data.

You can exercise the delete right at any time using the Delete my account button on the "My Readings" page. You can also download a copy of your account, profile, and readings at any time using the Export buttons on the same page. The export is available in two formats: a complete JSON file containing your account, profile, and every saved reading with the full chart detail (all planetary positions, house cusps, and aspects), and a spreadsheet-friendly CSV summary of your readings with the key sign and degree fields. The CSV is a summary only; the JSON file is the complete copy of your data and is the format to use when exercising your data-portability right. Children

Réalta Star is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies

We use only functional storage required to keep you signed in and to remember your in-progress chart. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top.
